I didn't have a whole lot of writing assignments in school that I liked. I hated being forced to write. I was never the best speller. The only time I was ok with writing a paper was when I got to choose what my topic was.
I don't know how much I will have my students write in my physical education classes. They definitely won't be papers. It will be more of a fitness plan or possible a journal. Something they can get their thoughts out on paper so they can read them in the future.
So like I promised....Here are some of the drawings I've done just messing around.
Monsters Inc.
Some of my old friends call me froggy. They said I jumped like a frog when I shot the ball during basketball.
This is one of my favorites...I'll have a monkey one day! ;)
I like drawing fairies for some reason. Maybe I would really like to fly or something.
I love watching eagles soar. They are so peaceful and beautiful.
Dragons are pretty cool. I can't just draw pretty pictures right?! lol
I will always be an Aggie. I am very proud of that and always will be.

Wow, Kelsey....these drawings are amazing. You bring up a great point that many students may not like writing and so you can give them alternative venues for expressing their understanding of your content. For example, in health, if you wanted students to get some idea of the emotional impact of poor health choices (e.g., drugs), you could let them choose a way to depict those impacts. Some students could do a collage, some might draw, and some might still choose to write a paper.
